BaByLoN was born from the ideas and shared philosophies of free flying, free thinking individuals.   It has evolved over the last few years, to become a centre for like-minded creatures wishing to fly.   The school is a focus for some of these Freefly individuals to come together and concentrate their skills.   The will to teach and thus develop and further the art of Freefly is shared by all at BaByLoN.

The school was established in 1995 and is the most experienced Freefly School in Europe, teaching students from all over the world.   Its instructors are recognised as being amongst the best in the world and are expert in the methods of teaching the technique and disciplines of flying.

BaByLoN is a Spanish Limited Company (S.L.) and is run by Stephane Fardel, Thomas Naef and Rolf Kuratle (Kuri) and is helped by many visiting Freefly instructors that work here.   We can offer one-on-one coaching for students at all levels, whether you are a beginner with no Freefly experience at all, or free flyer who wants to improve your existing skills.   BaByLoN instructors will give a full briefing session before the jump and a video debriefing on the ground, this will be tailored to your level and abilities.

We can also provide intensive training for teams or individuals who want to achieve a higher level of skill for competition or for people wishing to undertake certain qualifications.   BaByLoN are able to instruct to the standards required by the British Parachute Association (BPA) for "FF1" and "FF2" qualifications as well as the French Skydiving Federation (FFP) "B4" qualification and the Skydive Empuria Compulsory Basic Training.   We can also provide Sky Ball training jumps.

BaByLoN can now provide an air-to-air communication system for coaching students... Yes! No more excuses for missing those signals. The system gives the opportunity for the instructor to give commands whilst in freefall, which can be a more efficient method for some students to receive instruction. We plan to use this with certain students, with groups for communication between organisers and for wind tunnel coaching.

BaByLoN is available on the drop zone for organising groups depending on the level of skydivers interested.   If you just want a good, fun video of your jumps to take home to show your mates, we are able to organise this too.

The prices are on a sliding scale according to the amount of jumps you decide you want to do.   All of these prices include a pre-jump briefing, student's slot, instructor's slot and video debriefing.   (Separate conditions apply to Team Coaching, please contact us for details).

Group Coaching Scheme
Under this new scheme, you will train to fly (depending on your level) as a 3, 4 or 5 way group including an instructor. All your sessions are fully briefed, videoed and debriefed by your instructor. This basically follows the same concept as a one-on-one school jump, but this method allows more scope for longer & more intensive briefing and debriefing within the sessions. This gives you the chance to share your skills with the other participants and learn from each other whilst being continually monitored and assessed by your instructor.

This is a very good way to develop flying skills particularly for groups who already fly together. However if you would like to participate in this type of training method but don't have enough flyers of the same ability to make a group, we will try to create groups of similar levels.

The aim of the group coaching scheme is to give you a way of training together in safer, larger groups and to help you develop the level for bigger-way flying. We intend to help you to focus on your strengths and identify and correct your weaknesses. It's also a fun way to learn and a more affordable way to train.
